Show at 8 PM (Doors at 6 PM)
Devotchka with the Reminders and Porlolo
Genre: gypsy, folk, indie
For Fans of: The Decemberists, Beirut, Jason Webley

From their humble beginnings as the backing band for burlesque shows, to performing for 80,000 people at the Stade de France in support of Muse, Devotchka has grown over more than a decade fusing their influences into a new authentic, genre, a sort of romance, completely of their own.

DeVotchKa's first major break came when Nic Harcourt of KCRW introduced his listeners to a then unknown rock band on his daily radio show, "Morning Becomes Eclectic." Filmmakers Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton were listening that day, and stumbled upon the sound for their movie, Little Miss Sunshine. A critical and box office hit, the film was nominated for the Best Picture Oscar, while DeVotchKa's soundtrack earned a Grammy nod.
Through international and national tours, festival appearances at Coachella, Bonnaroo, Bumbershoot, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, and sold out shows at iconic venues like The Fillmore in San Francisco and Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado, Devotchka’s sound has spread across the globe. Over six intricately crafted albums and years of unique performances, including with the symphonies of Colorado, Portland, and Seattle, they have grown a cult following as dedicated and sincere as any in music..

Since the release of their last album, 100 Lovers, ringleader and frontman Nick Urata has continued to busily build on that success, scoring beloved movies such as Paddington and Crazy, Stupid, Love and Netflix’s critically acclaimed hits A Series of Unfortunate Events and The Dangerous Book for Boys.

DeVotchKa is:

Nick Urata: Vocals, guitars, Theremin, trumpet, piano Jeanie Schroder: acoustic bass, sousaphone Shawn King: drums, percussion, trumpet Tom Hagerman: violin, viola, accordion, piano
